| Several years ago, with the idea from one of my students and his family, we started a band award program. Through "tweaking" a bit it has been refined to what we have now. Students work on these awards on their own time, pass off the requirements (available from Mr. Hermann) and receive the earned award at one of the concerts, so family and friends may enjoy their students success. The 3rd Class Bandsman - Designed for first year band students, beginning band. The 2nd Class Bandsman - Designed for second year band students, intermediate band. The 1st Class Bandsman - Designed for third year band students, advanced band. Band students may earn all three awards in one year if desired, it just takes some extra work. There have been many first year students earn all awards before the end of their first year in band. ALL OF THE R. J. H. BAND STUDENTS MAY EARN THESE AWARDS AT ANY TIME WHILE AT R. J. H. S. |
